Editorial policy
Silver News Spotlight aims to make considered, readable coverage of silver and material culture. We distinguish explanation from opinion, take care with claims and make changes when a published detail needs correction.
Accuracy and sourcing
We check factual statements against suitable sources and take care not to present uncertain details as settled. Where an article makes a claim that benefits from a source, we identify the supporting material in the article. Readers may contact us with a specific concern and relevant evidence.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made separately from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable treatment or editorial endorsement.
Corrections
When a material error is identified, we review it and correct the article where appropriate. We aim to make the correction clear in context rather than silently leaving readers with a misleading account. Send correction requests through the Contact page.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be AI-generated. When that is the case, they are identified as illustrative material and are not offered as documentary evidence of a real object or event.
Details make the object.
Silver is more than shine. Its weight, finish, form and signs of use all contribute to how an object is read.
